WLC Chair Susan Myers is the owner and operator of Ridge Valley Farm LLC, which includes 30 acres of woods in Montgomery County, where her and her husband, James, produce maple syrup and maple value added products. They also have a 135-acre farm in Snyder County which is farmed by their son-in-law.
Myers has a very large garden and does a lot of canning and freezing. Myers participates in six different farmers’ markets with their maple products. She is currently the President of Emmaus Farmers’ Market. She has served four different terms as the President of the market.
Myers has been a member of the Women’s Leadership Committee since 2018.
Off the farm, Myers had a career as a nurse before she retired and was a member of Tylersport Fire Company. Myers is a 1971 graduate of North Penn High School and she graduated Sacred Hospital School of Nursing in 1972. Myers is a certified x-ray technician for podiatry.
Myers married her husband James in 1973. Sue and James have two daughters, Jennifer and Rebecca, and five grandchildren Caleb, Charlotte, Patricia, Emma and Ethan. Myers also served as a Sunday School Superintendent at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
