Pennsylvania Farm Bureau’s communications staff was honored on Wednesday evening at this year’s American Farm Bureau Federation Communications Conference in Kansas City, Missouri. The annual competition recognizes state Farm Bureau professionals from across the country for their exceptional work in communications.
Pennsylvania Farm Bureau was selected as the winner in the best Video News Story category for its video documenting Brittany Eisenman’s Northwest Pennsylvania Hay Drive, which was organized for farmers recovering from Hurricane Helene.
Judges selected the video as the winner for the emotion it conveyed, the variety of shots it used and its strength in storytelling.
“State Farm Bureau communicators remain committed to sharing the voices of farm and ranch families across the country,” said AFBF President Zippy Duvall. “The work of our communicators is exceptional and I’m proud of how they share agriculture’s story. Congratulations to the winning states and my thanks to all Farm Bureau communicators.”
States were divided into two judging categories, based on membership size. Nearly 200 entries for work produced in 2024 were submitted for the 2025 contest.
Awards were presented to Farm Bureau communicators in Pennsylvania, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, New York, North Carolina, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.
