Don Buckman grows hay and raises hogs for direct market sales at Lonely Willow Farm near Perkasie, Bucks County. He also sells custom cuts of his pork, breeds show pigs for summer fairs and is building a cattle herd for direct market beef sales. Off the farm, Buckman works as a welder, fabricator, and millwright at Hart Mechanical.

Buckman serves as vice president of Bucks County Farm Bureau and as environmental coordinator. He served six years on Pennsylvania Farm Bureau’s state Young Farmer and Rancher Committee, including one year as chair. He also serves on PFB’s state Ag Promotion Committee.

In 2016, Buckman won PFB’s Young Farmer and Rancher Excellence in Agriculture Award. Buckman’s family includes his wife, Kristen, and children, Hailey, Greg and Paul. He is involved in 4-H and coaches basketball and football.
