
Women’s Leadership Committee Chair Amy McChesney and her husband, Clint, own and operate a cow-calf finishing beef operation in Blairsville, raising primarily Simmental/Angus crosses on 112 acres.
McChesney has held several leadership roles within the Westmoreland County Farm Bureau. She was elected county president in October, after serving three years as vice president. She has been a county board member since October 2021 and she serves as the county’s GRD, and has represented District 16 on the Women’s Leadership Committee State Committee since November 2022.
At the national level, McChesney has completed the American Farm Bureau’s Women’s Boot Camp and GO Team training.
Outside Farm Bureau, McChesney is a member of the Pennsylvania Cattlemen’s Association, a 4-H leader and program volunteer, and serves on her local 4-H Development Council. She is also the former vice president of the Derry Township Agricultural Fair.
McChesney is deeply involved in her community, serving as a Boy Scouts of America Troop Committee Chair, Treasurer of the Derry Area Revitalization Committee, and secretary of the Band Parents Association.
Off the farm, McChesney serves as the Derry Township Tax Collector. Her previous professional roles include clerk of court’s docket clerk and magistrate’s secretary, and school secretary.
Amy and Clint have been married for 28 years and are the parents of five children and grandparents to three granddaughters. March 2026 will mark a milestone for McChesney Farm, celebrating 190 years of continuous farming in Westmoreland County.
