Farmers Encouraged to Complete Local Food Marketing Practices Survey

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service is encouraging farmers to respond to its 2020 Local Food Marketing Practices Survey.

The survey supplements data gathered by the 2017 Census of Agriculture to include information on how farmers market their products. The results are used to guide important public policy decisions that affect agriculture. The last such survey was conducted in 2015.

The survey was mailed to approximately 36,500 producers nationwide and responses are due back by Feb. 16. Farmers can respond online, by mail or by phone.
