PA Young Ag Professionals Summer Picnic
Near the end of July, a retiring PA YAP Committee member hosts the State YAP Annual Picnic. The picnic, more casual than the leadership conference, is meant to give busy farmers a break from their summer work for food, fun and fellowship with other farmers. The picnic often offers farm tours, industry tours, kids’ activities, and a plethora of delicious “picnic” food!
Thanks to everyone who made the 2022 Young Ag Professionals Leadership Conference a success!
The conference, which hosted more than 100 YAP members, included multiple guest speakers, breakout rooms, opportunities for networking, live music and a tour of the Penn State University Dairy Barn Complex.
The keynote speaker for the event was renowned motivational speaker and author Matt Episcopo, who spoke about verbal and non-verbal communication and how to make a good impression when meeting others. Read more
PA Young Ag Professionals State Leadership Conference
The conference will be held next year on February 12-13, 2022.
Check here for more details.
Before the ground thaws and seeds are planted, PA hosts its own State YAP Leadership Conference. The goal of this conference is to help new young farmers, and new Farm Bureau members, establish their place on their farms and in Farm Bureau. The conference offers breakout sessions for commodity’s, leadership, retirement/transition planning and financial planning. County Farm Bureau’s sponsor participants to attend the conference.
