Now more than ever, consumers want to buy their food locally. Consumer preferences were changing before our world was turned upside down by the COVID-19 pandemic, but uncertainty surrounding many aspects of our daily lives caused changes in shopping habits. That has included consumers seeking local sources of agricultural products. This situation presents new opportunities for farmers to showcase their products to consumers.
Pennsylvania Farm Bureau is working to compile the most comprehensive database possible of members in Pennsylvania that are selling their products directly to customers. The goal is to create an online tool to help connect consumers who want to buy local with Farm Bureau members in their communities who can supply local items.
Whether you are selling meat in halves and quarters, offer farm-fresh produce at farmers’ markets, are milling flours and grains, have a retail store, or sell direct to consumers in a variety of other ways, we want to include your farm information for this database. In addition to farms, we also want to include information from members who process local food, operate farm-to-table restaurants and produce craft beverages.
We are asking for your help in creating this database. If you sell agricultural products to the public, and are a Farm Bureau member, please complete the form below to be included. If you are not a member, please click here to join and then use the form below to submit your information.
Please note: The information provided will be posted in a publicly accessible database. If your information changes and you need to update your listing, please make sure to contact us at
