JOB SUMMARY:

Preforms a broad range of duties including event and meeting arrangements, record keeping, and report production for the Division.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Document resolutions during the delegate session at PFB Annual Meeting
  • Oversee and coordinate planning arrangements, as well as facilitating and securing contracts, for federal affairs trips and state legislative conference, annual FARMER dinner, state policy development meeting, legislative update events, and related committee meetings
  • Negotiate contracts and lead the planning and execution for FARMER Dinner and State Legislative Conference, including overseeing all mailings and the compilation of legislative folders for both Legislators and members
  • Complete and reconcile all invoicing and payment for the FARMER Dinner and State Legislative Conference, including detailed review of all invoices and member reimbursements
  • Works with AFBF Awards program and submissions
  • Knowledge towards the Agritourism Liability law with selling wristbands and signs
  • Staff Support and set-up for Policy Development
  • Works with the credentialing process for Annual Meeting Delegate Session
  • Order office supplies for the building
  • Order Gov/Com supplies as needed
  • Maintain current data files of legislators, committees, etc.
  • Complete and submit campaign reports for the state Bureau of Elections
  • Keep records and provide receipts to contributors for political action committee
  • Assist the State & Local Affairs Specialist with FARMER endorsements and legislative tracking
  • Order and sort state and national policy books for counties
  • Organize and compile schedules/calendar of events for Government Affairs
  • Organize Program of Work with details that staff supplies
  • Complete major mailing projects including letters to legislators, committees, etc., to include preparing for signature and proofreading
  • Assist Event Planner & Sponsor Relations Specialist on specified projects
  • Coordinate workload, production and work hours with Event Planner & Sponsor Relations Specialist
    Assist with daily support activities for Government Affairs (phones, mail, etc.)

EDUCATION-QUALIFICATIONS-SKILLS:

Required:

  • Administrative Professional (or similar) degree or equivalent work experience in related area
  • Proven ability to organize and accurately complete multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills

Preferred:

  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Experience in office management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid PA Driver’s License
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs
  • Working during non-traditional office hours may at times be required for events/meetings


TELECOMMUTE OPTION:
100% Camp Hill office position.
