ESESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plan, direct and coordinate all operational accounting functions of PFB & Affiliated Companies.
• Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, consulting with accounting firm as needed, to ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP standards as well as regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
• Maintain internal control safeguards for both receipts and expenditures, including the appropriate allocation to the organizational budgets to maximize protection of PFB & Affiliated Companies’ assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.
• Prepare internal financial statements; provide senior leadership with information vital to financial/budgeting decision-making processes.
• Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the CAO; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership apprised of the organization’s financial status; conduct longer-range financial planning.
• Provide monthly financial reports to senior leadership; guide and support senior leadership in budget development and management.
• Provide status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data to CAO and Board of Directors.
• Coordinate and assist accounting firm by providing all needed information for audits, tax filings, and any other report development or information requests as required.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, financial, banking, legal, insurance, and other PFB & Affiliated Companies’ business partners.
• Prepare special reports, as needed, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; develop and monitor business performance metrics.
• Assess current accounting operations, effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database to offer recommendations for improvement and implement new processes, as needed.
• Hire, train and retain skilled accounting staff.
• Facilitate the management of fleet of company vehicles.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study
• Proven analytical experience with a strong working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP), as well as detailed financial data analysis
• Forward thinker with exceptional communication skills and proven effective leadership qualities to coach and motivate staff
Preferred:
• 5+ years’ experience in accounting/finance management role
• Familiarity with Great Plains accounting system

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Valid PA Driver’s License
• Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
• Working during non-traditional office hours will at times be required

TELECOMMUTE OPTION: 40-60% Camp Hill office position, with occasional travel (10% or less) including overnight stays, as required for meetings, and/or other work-related functions.
