PFB is seeking proposals from potential presenters for several educational sessions. The presentations should be related to a wide variety of topics, including Agricultural Economic Trends and Forecasts; Agricultural Education; Animal Health; Commodity Promotion & Marketing; Communicating about Controversial Subjects; Family Wellness; Farm and Food Blogging and/or Social Media Initiatives; Farm Business Planning; Farm Management, Finance and Marketing; Farm Safety; Farm-to-Table Promotions; Leadership Development; New and Emerging Farm Technologies; Rural Entrepreneurship; and Soil, Water and Air Quality Improvement Practices.
More than 600 people from all corners of the state are expected to attend the conference, where county Farm Bureau leaders debate policy positions of the organization and set PFB’s agenda for the coming year. Aside from the information seminars, the annual meeting offers attendees a Health Fair, which includes free flu shots and other valuable health screenings. In addition, PFB will recognize county organizations, Farm Bureau members and agricultural leaders with awards during meal functions.
