(Hershey) – One of the IT industry’s leading experts, Pat Gelsinger, Chief Executive Officer of VMware, offered a presentation entitled “Achieving Security in an Uncertain World” as part of Pennsylvania Farm Bureau unveiling of a new business venture called pfbSOLUTIONS.
Based on his experience at VMware, Intel and other international technology companies, Gelsinger discussed how IT can identify vulnerabilities and achieve cyber security, the power of cloud computing and trends to look out for in 2018.
As part of his presentation, Gelsinger cited his support of pfbSOLUTIONS, while also talking about how his background working on a Pennsylvania family farm in Berks County led him to many milestones in the Silicon Valley.
“Growing up on a farm in Pennsylvania, I understand well the importance of the agriculture industry to our nation,” said Pat Gelsinger, CEO of VMware. “I support pfbSOLUTIONS because of its drive to connect rural and corporate communities and its mission to give back to our nation’s farmers through the latest in technology capabilities. This unique, innovative alliance is a win-win for everyone.”
pfbSOLUTIONS is an initiative under Pennsylvania Farm Bureau to bridge corporate and rural together in a unique and innovative way. This new initiative, which is endorsed by Pat Gelsinger, offers the latest and best in technology through select partnerships with leading technology providers to provide full-service IT solutions. Through one of its partnerships with IntegraONE, a platinum level IT/network solutions provider, pfbSOLUTIONS delivers a full range of comprehensive IT products and services to businesses, both large and small. pfbSOLUTIONS will continue to expand its offering through new partnerships, with all proceeds benefiting the state’s leading farm organization to build a better future for farm and rural families.
“Just like our farmer members, Pennsylvania Farm Bureau needs to diversify in order to remain a strong organization. We believe pfbSOLUTIONS will help us do that,” said PFB President Rick Ebert.
Pennsylvania Farm Bureau is the state’s largest farm organization with a volunteer membership of more than 62,000 farm and rural families, representing farms of every size and commodity across Pennsylvania.
