Are you an inner-city Pittsburgh, Allentown/Bethlehem, Harrisburg/York or Philadelphia city elementary school looking for a unique way to bring science to life for your students?

Our Ag on the Go program may be just what you're looking for!

AgontheGo 2 webOur Ag on the Go vehicle arrives at your school, complete with a certified PA teacher and materials, ready to bring agricultural education directly into your school.  The regular school classroom is quickly transformed into an interactive science lab where students are immersed in the scientific method…from identifying a problem, to forming a hypothesis, to reaching a conclusion.  Agriculture provides the perfect platform for STEM learning to occur...and we optimize that opportunity.

With two curriculum tracks targeting grades 3 through 5, schools can customize the focus of the visit on either the environment or nutrition.  In each track, the role of agriculture and its impact on the daily lives of students is highlighted.  Each science lesson is designed to not only emphasize a different aspect of agriculture, but also various science concepts.  The entire curriculum is aligned with the state standards for Science & Technology and Environment & Ecology.

With students actively engaged, they become excited about scientific discovery and learning in general!  Brochure

#2 Food, Nutrition & YOU!

Our nutrition curriculum track engages students as Culinary Science Investigators (CSI) as they learn from where their food comes and examine nutritional properties of common foods and beverages. Students conduct experiments and simulations to deterimine the presence and amount of fat, protein, and fiber of various food items. Nutritional labels are examined and scrutinized for true nutritional content. Students are encouraged to make healthy food choices through a balanced diet.
