Pennsylvania Farm Bureau’s Political Action Committee is excited to host our popular fund-raising dinner. This year, we are celebrating the ingenuity of agriculture and diving into the most challenging issues facing the industry.
Join us on April 3 at the Harrisburg Hilton for a conversation on current affairs in agriculture with Senator Judy Schwank, Chair of the Senate Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, and Representative Dan Moul, Chair of the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee. Schwank, a Democrat from Berks County, represents a rich agricultural district, and has firsthand experience formerly serving as the director of the Berks County Cooperative Extension Program. Moul, a Republican from rural Adams County, is a strong advocate for regulatory reforms and commonsense budget measures. This discussion will explore the current challenges faced by Pennsylvania agriculture and how we can find innovative solutions to move forward.
FARMER will use the funds raised from this event to support a slate of candidates seeking election to the General Assembly. Every two years, our PAC identifies candidates with a demonstrated record of supporting agriculture. We truly have friends in Harrisburg, and FARMER is a great way to thank them for their steadfast support of our industry.
Sen. Judy Schwank Rep. Dan Moul

What is FARMER?
FARMER is the only political action committee (PAC) led by farmers in Pennsylvania, and all contributions go to support members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly who are strong supporters of agriculture. Operated by the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau since 1981 FARMER solicits monies from interested parties to elect “friends of agriculture” to the state General Assembly.
FARMER reviews candidates’ voting records on agricultural issues, as well as their personal philosophy. It seeks the opinion of county Farm Bureaus and individual FARMER members and contributes to candidates on a bipartisan basis.
Pennsylvania campaign law does not allow FARMER to accept corporate contributions. All members receive FARMER information and have the opportunity to input the candidate selection process.
