2021 FARMER Virtual Event

FARMER

FARMER, Pennsylvania Farm Bureau’s Political Action Committee is inviting you to an exclusive evening with Congressman Glenn “GT” Thompson and Speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Bryan Cutler as they chat about agriculture, our current political climate and effective advocacy. This event benefits our agriculture PAC, which supports farmer-friendly candidates in Harrisburg.

Join us at 7 p.m., April 8, virtually to hear from Congressman Thompson and Speaker Cutler. FARMER is asking for a minimum of a $25 donation to participate. All proceeds are used to support lawmakers in Harrisburg who are vigorous supporters of Pennsylvania agriculture.

Congressman “GT” Thompson is a vocal supporter of Pennsylvania agriculture, including the push to have whole milk available for school lunch program. Now, as the ranking member of the House Agriculture Committee, Congressman Thompson can help steer a legislative agenda that will benefit farmers across Pennsylvania and the nation. Congressman Thompson has worked hand-in-hand with Pennsylvania Farm Bureau on a number of important legislative initiatives, including the most recent Farm Bureau and he understands the importance of promoting rural communities in Washington D.C.

Speaker of the House Bryan Cutler is a pragmatic leader who understands the importance of agriculture to our state’s economy. A Lancaster County native, Speaker Cutler worked on a neighbor’s dairy farm to help pay for college. He brings the values of Lancaster County, and the farming community that he grew up in, to the pressing issues facing state government. As House Speaker, Representative Cutler helps set the House’s legislative agenda and plays a key role in state budget debates. Speaker Cutler has long been a friend of Pennsylvania Farm Bureau and has helped guide a number of our legislative priorities through the House.
