State board director Ray McMinn raises sheep, meat and laying chickens, and produce on his family farm in Elk County. He and his wife, Women’s Leadership Committee State Chair Michele McMinn, are the fourth generation to work the farm, which has been in the family since 1900. Fifth- and sixth-generation family members also work the farm, with the McMinns’ daughter operating a therapeutic riding organization.
McMinn has previously served on the Elk County Farm Bureau Board of Directors and was second vice president in 2015. He was a member of the Government Relations Committee in 2015.
McMinn is also very involved in the Elk County community. He is a sergeant at the Elk County Prison, serves on the Oakmont Cemetery and Elk County Conservation boards, and is a member of the Ridgway-Elk County Chamber of Commerce.
McMinn and his wife, Michele, have two daughters and six grandchildren.
