John Painter, also known as Johnny, operates an organic dairy and crop farm in partnership with his two brothers. They milk 400 cows and farm 5,000 acres in Westfield, Tioga County.

 

He previously served as Tioga/Potter County Farm Bureau President and currently serves as membership chair for the county organization.

 

John is a graduate of Cowanesque Valley High School. He is a lifetime member of Cowanesque Methodist Church and serves on the Board of Directors for the Center for Beef Excellence.

 

He has four children—Jackie (now deceased), Blake, Jacob and Terri—and four grandchildren.
