Lisa Wherry, who chairs Pennsylvania Farm Bureau’s Women’s Leadership Committee, raises sheep in Washington County in partnership with her father.
The family farm raises sheep and beef cattle, focusing most of its efforts on market lambs. In addition, Wherry owns Spring Valley Bakery and was elected as the tax collector for North Bethlehem Township.
She is a graduate of Colorado Technical University with a B.S. in administration with a concentration in management.
Wherry has served as the chair of Washington County Farm Bureau’s Women’s Leadership Committee and now serves on the county Farm Bureau Board of Directors. She also served her district on PFB’s Women’s Leadership Committee prior to being selected chair.
Wherry serves on the executive board of her local Methodist Church and is a member of the Old Trails Business and Professional Women’s Organization and Zonta of Pittsburgh.
She is a 23-year veteran of the United States Navy.
